Drone video captured a natural disaster that rocked Ecuador leaving her citizens in a state of sorrow and weeping. The video contains a collapsed highway overpass in Guayaquil, Ecuador, about
180 miles from the epicenter of where a powerful magnitude-7.8 earthquake shattered the area last weekend.
The aerial video shows the buckled bridge surrounded by construction crews and onlookers.
The video shows just a fraction of the structural damage caused by what the country’s vice president referred to as “the strongest quake” to hit the country’s central coast in decades. The death toll from the quake reached 413 as of Monday evening, according to the Ecuadorian government. It was the strongest seismic event in the country since 1979, Vice President Jorge Glas said.
