Shark Dies After a Group of Tourists Drag it out from the Water to Pose for Picture
A group of tourists and lifeguards in the Dominican Republic who went to have fun and engage in sight seeing pulled a shark whose life is dependent in water to the shore and forcing it to die. The shark was a large one and it was seen first in the surf.
It took the efforts of about seven men to reach out to it and painstakingly dragged it out of the aquatic milieu to the shoreline close to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana.
The weak shark had a life preserver placed in its mouth to prevent it from biting anyone. This enabled the Tourists and Lifeguards to pose with it for a picture. However, the shark later died. Some staff of the nearby Hard Rock Hotel were accused of been involved in the incident.
Stacy Sorino, the spokesman of the resort management revealed that the management was oblivious of what happened and seriously pointed out that the act is absolutely against their standards as they protect their animals as well as their guests.
