Manchester United sent home with defeat at Hawthorns


Manchester United received a slap of defeat at Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion home. Manchester United who visited West Brom with an expectation of victory was honoured with a befitting defeat to narrow their chances of being among the top four in the league table.

Juan Mata won a red card in the first half, leaving Man U with ten players while West Bromwich maintained eleven players till the end of the match. West Bromwich’s only goal was scored by Striker Salomon Rondon after 67 minutes of the half time. Rondon’s goal elevated West Bromwich to 11th position with 39 points and Man U still remains at 6th position but with 47 points.

Rondon’s goal was his fourth goal in six premier league matches and West Bromwich’s eventual victory against Man U is their first home win over Manchester United for 32 years. What a yoke, Rondon has broken.
