Imminent Job Loss in Ecobank as Bank Plans to Shut Down Some of its Operational Centers
From the look of economic situation of things in Ecobank, it seems that some of her staff in some African countries may lose their jobs in no distant time. According to the management of the bank, they are evaluating their expansion strategy after a decrease in profits. They are also considering pulling out of some African countries in order to center on its most promising markets.
Emmanuel Ikazoboh, the chairman of the bank told Reuters in an interview that the fall in global commodity prices that spanked economies in nations like Ghana and Nigeria have grossly affected the banks profit margin.
