Abia state university was bloody on Saturday due to the brutal bloodbath of two Abia state varsity students by a cult group. Until their painful demise, the two students were said to be a member of a cult group,Mafia and they lived at the Chi-Doo lodge along the Uturu-Afikpo road.

The two students were identified as Ebuka Nwaigbo, a 300 level student of Estate Management and Samuel Ethelbert, a 300 leave student of Political science. Before their killing, there was a hot clash between their cult, Mafia and another rival cult, Burkina Faso. According to reports, the Mafia killed one Collins Agwu, a final year MBL student in February who was believed to be a member of Burkina Faso.

The killing of the two students took place at Pego 1 Lodge and it is reportedly said to be a revenge by the Burkina Faso cult group. However, one of the slaughtered students was the only son of his parents.
