Don Jazzy is a superstar Nigerian musician born as Micheal Collins Ajereh. He is a multi award-winning record producer, songwriter, entrepreneur, co-founder of Mo’ Hits and the current Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records. He is from Igbo speaking part of Delta state, Nigeria and He was born in Umuahia, Abia state on 26 November, 1982.

At a tender age, his family relocated to the Ajegunle city of Lagos state where he was bred alongside his three siblings. He had his secondary education at Federal Government College, Lagos. He is a graduate of Business Management from the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma in Edo state.

In 2000, his uncle domicile in London, United Kingdom invited over him to come and play the drums for the local Church. This is because he has a good relationship with the musical instruments. It is astounding how he mastered the instruments at his fingertips due to the fact that his irresistible flair for music started way back at the kindergarten age of four. He started laying foundation for his music career by playing drums and singing and much later, developed an enthusiasm for the bass guitar.
In 2011, his exquisite talent won him the heart of Kanye West and he was signed up as the producer on his Good Music Label. The Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy is many things rolled in one as his genres of music are African hip hop, pop, Afro pop and R&B. He co-founded Mo’Hits with his childhood crony and music partner, D’Banj but they later went their separate ways in May 2012 after some sorts of irreconcilable differences. Don Jazzy went on and established Mavin Records Label, one of the successful labels in the Nigerian music industry that has nurtured young talents into stars.

Due to his music dexterity, Don Jazzy has worked with a host of foreign and local superstars. He has produced tracks for Darey, Wande Coal, Olakunle Excel et Zanga, Naeto C, Dr. Sid, D’Prince, Ikechukwu, Tiwa Savage, Sauce Kid to mention just a few. He collaborated with Kanye West and Jay-Z on the production of Lift Off that featured Beyonce on the album “Watch the Throne” that was released on August 8, 2011.
