Cross River: Fake Female Doctor Arrested In Cross River State
A woman named Stella Akagbusim has been arrested in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State for parading herself as a medical doctor. According to CrossRiverWatch, the fake medical doctor of a woman was apprehended by the officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on 4th of May after Emmanuel Akwagiobe, the Community Relations Officer made a complaint.
This is the second time Stella Akagbusim is arrested for a similar crime. She had been apprehended earlier and subsequently granted bail. Reports showed that the fake medical doctor revealed herself after she treated a business center operator identified as John at the NSCDC field office and charge him the sum of 9,000 naira. The patient, John paid her the sum of 3,000 naira and told her to return in three days to collect her balance and she agreed.
The fake doctor returned in two days time as agreed. She rained insult on John for her balance. John in return, started questioning her reasons for been too desperate for her balance. Thereafter, he alerted the NSCDC and she was arrested.
After series of interrogation, fake doctor Akagbusim told NSCDC that she graduated from Madonna University. Investigations revealed that she neither studied medicine nor any science related courses even though she was a graduate of the institution. She claimed to be a specialist who works with food supplements marketing, GNLD and networking company.
After her initial arrest, she was sternly warned to quit practicing what she did not study. Unfortunately, the warning fell on a deaf ear as she went back to resort to the illegal practice a week later and she got arrested again.
