Farafina Trust opens entries for participants who are enthusiastic about creative writing. The Farafina Trust which is organized by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the award-winning writer and creative director of Farafina Trust will be commencing
The workshop which is sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc will have Kenya’s Binyavanga Wainaina, the Caine prize winning writer as well as Aslak Sira Myhre and others teach alongside Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
The workshop is geared towards improving the craft of writers and encouraging published and unpublished writers by bringing different perspective to the art of storytelling. The workshop takes the form of a class and a wide range of reading exercises and daily writing exercises will be assigned to participants.
Meanwhile, participation is limited only to those who are accepted after their application. In order to apply, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your email subject should be written ‘Workshop Application’ while the body of the e-mail should have the following:

Ø Your Address
Ø A few sentences about yourself
Ø A writing sample of between 200 and 800 words. The sample must either be nonfiction or fiction.
However, all material must be written or pasted in the body of the e-mail. Please DO NOT attach anything in your application because any application with attachment will be disqualified automatically.
Submission deadline is 20th May, 2016. Those who will be accepted to the workshop will be notified by 10th of June, 2016. Accommodation will be provided in Lagos for all the accepted applicants who will attend the workshop that will last for ten days.
At the end of the workshop on 1st of July, 2016, a literary evening of readings will be opened to the public.
