Degree Programmes Options are:

i) O’level subjects

  • Candidates must have 5 O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology obtained at one sitting
  • For MBBS Programmes, 5 O’level credit passes MUST be gotten at one sitting

ii) UTME subjects

English Language, Chemistry, Biology and Physics

iii) Direct Entry

  • B.Sc. Second (2nd) Class Upper Division in a related discipline
  • Advanced level GCE/IJMB/Cambridge/JUPEB at an acceptable grade level
  • For Nursing Science, candidates with SRN/RN plus 5 O’level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics can apply

Admission Requirements

i) O’level subjects

  • Candidates must obtain 5 O’level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science/Biology/Animal Husbandry/Fisheries, Chemistry and one of Physics, Economics, Geography, Food & Nutrition.
  • For Nutrition & Dietetics, Food Science & Technology, candidates must have O’level credits including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics

ii) Direct Entry

  • ND/NCE or its approved equivalent in relevant programmes
  • At least 2 Advanced Level passes to include Chemistry and any one of the following: Agricultural Science/Zoology, Biology/Botany, Geograph, Physics and Economics
  • JUPEG/IJMB at acceptable grade levels in relevant subjects\-HND Holders from recognized Polytechnic with a minimum of Upper Credit
  • For Nutrition & Dietetics, candidates must have ND/NCE or its approved equivalent in Food and Nutrition or Nigerian Registered Nurse or National Diploma in Agriculture or its approved equivalent in relevant courses

General Entry Requirements

  • All applicants are expected to have credit passes in at least 5 subjects at SSCE, NECO, GCE or its approved equivalent
  • 5 credits must include English Language and other specific departmental requirements
  • 5 credits must be gotten at not more than two sittings

  • 5 O’level credits including English Language, Literature-in-English and at least one Arts and two other subjects

B) Department of Communication and Performing Arts

  • B.A Communication Arts

Admission Requirements

i) O’level subjects

  • 5 O’level credit passes including English Language, Literature in English and 3 other Arts or Social Science subjects
  • For Music, 5 O’level credit passes including English Language. A recognized certificate in Music approved institution will be an advantage

ii) Direct Entry

  • At least 2 Advanced level passes in Literature and one other Arts Subject
  • JUPEB/IJMB at acceptable grade level
  • Diploma in Dramatic Arts/Theatre Arts from an accredited institution
  • For Music, ND/NCE or its approved equivalent in relevant subjects or ABRSM London Grade viii
  • For Music, at least 2 O’level credits or its equivalent inclus=ding Music

C) Department of History and International Studies

Admission Requirements

i) O’level subject

  • Candidates must have 5 O’level credits including English Language, Literature in English and 3 other subjects obtained at not more than 2 sittings. A pass in Mathematics is acceptable

ii) Direct Entry

  • 3 papers at Advanced Level or Higher School Certificate at Principal level and in addition to that, candidates must satisfy the O’level requirements as stated above

iii) UTME subjects

General Entry Requirements

Candidates seeking to gain admission into the Faculty of Science and Science Education must have a minimum of 5 Ordinary level credits in English Language and Mathematics in addition to special departmental requirements

i) O’level subjects

5 O’level subject including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any one of Agricultural Science/Biology, Technical Drawing, Geography, Further Mathematics and Food & Nutrition

  • At least 2 GCE Advanced level p[asses in Physics and Mathematics. In exceptional cases, Chemistry and Physics may be considered
  • IJMB/ND/JUPEB/NCE or approved equivalent
  • HND Holders from a recognized Polytechnic with a minimum of Lower Credits in Physics with Electronics or Physics or Electrical Electronics Engineering may be admitted into 300 level
  • In addition, candidates must have the O’level requirements as stated above

F) Department of Mathematics and Statistics

  • B.Sc. Mathematics
  • B.Sc. Statistics

Admission Requirements

i) O’level subjects

5 O’level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and any other 3 subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Geography and Technical Drawing

  • At least 2 GCE Advanced level passes including Mathematics and any one of Biology, Economics, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics

  • For Statistics, a diploma in Statistics from a recognized university is acceptable

Admission Requirements

i) O’level subjects

5 O’level including English Language, Economics, Mathematics, one other Social Science subjects and any other subject

ii) Direct Entry

  • At least 2 Advanced level passes including Economics and any one of Geography, Government, Business Method, Mathematics and Economic History
  • IJMB/ND/NCE/ATS of ICAN or approved equivalent
  • In addition, candidates must obtain the O’level requirements as stated above

5 O’level credit passes including English Language, Government, Mathematics and any two Social Science subjects chosen from Geography, Economics and History
