Biography Of Yemi Alade

Yemi Eberechi Alade is a talented Nigerian Afro pop singer whom through her musical career leaped into national limelight in the year 2009. Widely known by her birth name, Yemi Alade shares dual ethnicity of Igbo and
Yoruba because her father James Alade, a one time Commissioner of Police is from Southwestern region while her mother Helen Uzoma hails from southeastern region all in Nigeria.
Yemi Alade was born in 13th March, 1989 in Abia state Nigeria and was brought up in Lagos. She had her primary education at St Saviour British Primary School and later proceeded to Victory Grammar school in Lagos. Yemi Alade is a Geography graduate of the University of Lagos. Yemi came from a family of nine including her mother and late father and she is the fifth child.

The tall, fair-skinned elegant ‘King of all Queens’ registered her name among musical stars when she won the maiden edition of the Peak Talent Show in 2009 and ever since then, she has continued to maintain and increase her popularity through her tireless release of songs.
The ‘Johnny’ Singer has continued to soar higher in the entertainment industry as her fame diffuses across the globe. She is gradually becoming an international figure as she shares same stage with the likes of  Wizkid, M.I, Burna Boy, Waje, Selebobo, Timi Dakolo, Shina Peters, Yemi Sax among other outstandingly talented musicians. She also featured in a remix of Sebiwo done by Beninese
In addition to her profile, Yemi Alade in Calabar Festival 2013 headlined the Super Diva’s nite and with her electrifying performance, she dished out mellifluous song for the warm welcome and relaxation of large audience who graced the 2013 Headies Award popularly called Nigerian Grammys.
