A Nigerian woman, Marian who was allegedly drunk and arrested on Monday evening after she causing a rumpus near National Market in India has been discharged on Tuesday from the National Institute of Mental health and Neuros Sciences (NIMHANS). While she created a violent commotion, she also chased the police officers who came to calm her down and in addition, bit two passersby.
It was gathered that Marian and her friend, Yesudas Puthambara who came from Kerala had caused a repulsive scenes near National Market. The Upparpet police who was alerted by passerby rushed to the spot to try to calm her down but unfortunately she chased them away. Later, a few policewomen pinned her down and tie her. Thereafter, she was taken to KC General Hospital where she underwent tests and referred to NIMHANS after she didn’t show any sign of sobriety.
On Tuesday evening, Marian was sober and was finally discharged. The police took her into their custody and rushed her to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Jayanagar when she complained of pain. According to police, Marian has been accompanied by Puthambara.
The two stay together in Sanjaynagar and they are students of a management college in North Bengaluru.
Marian has bitten an autorickshaw driver and a shopkeeper but they were given first-aid. However, the blood samples of Marian have been sent for tests.
