University of Jos (UNIJOS) is inviting interested and qualified candidates to partake in the pre-admission screening exercise for the 2016/2017 academic year. Each candidate on registration shall be scheduled for the screening starting from Monday 5th of September, 2016 to Wednesday 14th September, 2016 for the online registration of candidates who have selected the UNIJOS as their First Choice.

University of Benin (UNIBEN)

Eligibility for the 2016/2017 University of JOS (UNIJOS) Admission Screening Exercise

  • All candidates who made the University of Jos (UNIJOS) their First Choice
  • Candidates must have scored 180 marks and above in the 2016 UTME JAMB examination

General Instructions for the 2016/2017 University of JOS (UNIJOS) Admission Screening Exercise

  • Candidates are required to be at the Screening Venue immediately after the completion of payment and online registration
  • Any candidate who fails to come for the screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
  • Withholding information or provision of wrong information will lead to automatic disqualification
  • Parents, guardians and other unauthorized persons are not permitted within the Screening venue during the Pre-Admission Screening Exercise
  • The University of Jos (UNIJOS) does not tolerate any form of malpractice (including screening by proxy). Offenders shall be handed over to law enforcement agents for prosecution in addition to being disqualified
  • Candidates are expected to upload their current passport photographs

Screening Details for the 2016/2017 University of JOS (UNIJOS) Admission Screening Exercise

  • Screening Venue: At the respective Faculties on Bauchi Road and Naraguta Campuses, University of Jos, Jos, Plateau State
  • Time: The post-UTME Screening commences at 8:00am daily
  • Date: The screening exercise takes place daily beginning from Monday, 5th to Wednesday 14th September, 2016 at the respective faculties

Candidates’ results will be screened in accordance to the entry requirements of the respective programmes that they have selected

Specific Instructions

i.) Each candidate shall pay a non-refundable fee of N2,500.00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira) only (excluding bank charges) for the screening

Payment will be made via Remita collection platform at any commercial bank operating in Nigeria as follows:

Bank Branch:

  • Visit any Bank Branch operating in Nigeria
  • Present your payment to the teller (over-the-counter) and pay for the University of Jos Pre-Admission Screening Fee through the Remita platform

Remita Collection Platform:

  • Access the collection platform through
  • Click ‘Pay Federal Government Agency’
  • Enter ‘UNIJOS Pre-Admission Screening’ as payment details
  • Choose any preferred electronic paymrnt channels (Internet Banking, ATM Cards, POS, Mobile Wallet, etc) to complete your payment
  • The payer will be given an electronic receipt following payment which he/she will present at the venue of the screening
  • Candidates are advised strongly against patronizing road side Business Centres for making payment

ii.) Visit the University of Jos (UNIJOS) website HERE for the registration procedure as follows:

Note: The portal is yet to be enabled

  • Create an account using your phone number and email address. A verification email will automatically be forwarded to your email
  • Log into your email and click on the ‘Confirmation’ link to enable you to continue your registration
  • Complete your registration by supplying your Bio-data information including O’level details, payment details (RRR and Date), then upload your passport photograph as well as other information as required
  • Click the ‘Submit’ button to save your details on the UNIJOS Portal
  • Print Pre-Admission Screening Slip which has to include the date of your screening

iii) Candidates must come to the Screening Venue with the following materials/documents:

  • Payment receipt
  • Pre-Registration Print-out
  • Originals and photocopies of their JAMB Result Slip which must contain the passport photograph
  • Originals and photocopies of WAEC and/or NECO result slips
  • All candidates are advised to be decently dressed.
