2016/2017 Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Post-UTME Screening: Eligibility, Registration and Screening Details

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife is inviting all the suitably qualified candidates who scored 200 and above in the 2016 UTME and chose the university as the first choice in the form prescribed by JAMB for her pre-admission screening exercise into the university. All the candidates are directed to log on the website of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile ife (www.oauife.edu.ng) or eportal.oauife.edu.ng for the admission screening.

2016/2017 OAU (Obafemi Awolowo University) Method of Application

The candidates are expected to log on to the University eportal and then, click on ‘2016 Admission Screening-UTME/De Applicants’. Using their JAMB Registration Numbers, they should download Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and then use it for payment of Eportal Access Charge on Remita platform which accepts cash payment via master card or bank. The University eportal can be accessed anywhere, so candidates can effect payment in any branch of banks.

Note: Candidates who are awaiting their result can apply for the screening because they are also eligible. Only those who are awaiting result and applied within the designated time will be allowed to upload their results whenever they are released.

After the payment, candidates are required to carry out the following on the Eportal:

  • Update their JAMB data
  • Upload their SSCE result (either WAEC or NECO)
  • Scan copy certificate/online WAEC or NECO result (note: Statement of result from schools is not allowed)
  • Upload their picture (if unavailable)
  • Then print their Admission Screening Report

2016/2017 OAU Application Deadline

The closing date for screening of candidates of UTME is on the 15th of July, 2016 while 30th of July, 2016 is the closing date of screening of Direct Entry.

Note: This screening exercise does not require the physical presence of candidates on OAU campus and candidates are advised to come along with the copies of the Admission Screening Report on resumption if gained admission.
