2016/2017 Maritime Academy ND Full-Time Admission Screening Exercise: Courses, Method of Online Registration and Screening Details

The management of Maritime Academy invites all the interested candidates who chose Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State as their First Choice of institution and obtained the approved minimum of 180 marks and above for the post-UTME Screening exercise into its ND (National Diploma) programmes/courses for the 2016/2017 academic year.

Requirements for the 2016/2017 Maritime Academy ND Full-Time Admission Screening Exercise

Candidates are advised to come along with the following materials to the venue of the Screening Exercise:

  • JAMB Original Result
  • The Photo Card of candidate printed from the portal
  • Original copy of credentials (which must include the First School Leaving Certificate)
  • Original copy of certificate of Local Government/State of Origin
  • Original copy of Age Declaration/Birth Certificate
  • A pair of White canvas and socks
  • White short and vest
  • Bucket and drinking cup
  • Blanket
  • Toiletries

Medical Test/Screening for the 2016/2017 Maritime Academy ND Full-Time Admission Screening Exercise

Due to the nature of the Maritime Academy as well as the requirements for the training of seafarers, every candidate must undergo a comprehensive medical test before admission.

Thus, all candidates are expected to pay an amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500.00) only as Screening Fee and Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only for Medical Test for the following tests:

  • Chest X-ray
  • Hepatitis and Surface Antigen
  • Packed Cell Volume
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Serology
  • Genotype
  • Blood Group
  • Pregnancy
  • Urinalysis
  • Visual Acuity

Procedure for the Online Payment of the 2016/2017 Maritime Academy ND Full-Time Admission Screening exercise

  • Visit the Maritime Academy website at macademyoron.org
  • Click on ‘Registration’ and select ‘Application Form’
  • Click on ‘Purchase Form’
  • Fill in the following details:
  1. First Name
  2. Middle Name
  3. Surname
  4. Email
  5. Phone Number
  6. Choice of Program (e.g ND, HND and PGD)
  7. Choice of Course

Note: For the National Diploma (ND) Applications, you will be required to enter your JAMB Registration Number, JAMB year as well as JAMB score when applying for all courses

  • Click ‘Continue’ and on the next page, your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code will be displayed for you (please, note it down)
  • Click on ‘Click Here to Pay’
  • Choose mode of payment e.g Bank Branch or Online Payment
  • For Bank Branch Payment, print Remita Invoice which has your RRR code
  • Visit the designated banks to make your payment
  • An examination number will be generated for you and it will be your log in ID
  • Log in with your examination number as User ID and 2016/2017 as Password
  • Click ‘Complete Registration
  • For Online Payment, type in your card details
  • An examination number will be generated for you and it will be your log in ID
  • Log in with your examination number as User ID and 2016/2017 as Password
  • Click ‘Complete Registration’

Feeding/Accommodation

The accommodation will be provided free for all the candidates while feeding arrangement will be made on pay-as-you-eat basis. Therefore, candidates are advised to come with enough amount of money for their feeding.
