Admission Requirements into American University of Nigerian (AUN)

  • Candidates must have a minimum score of 180 and above in the 2016 UTME conducted by JAMB
  • Candidates must have a minimum qualification of 5 credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings or its equivalent from a country that needs other types of exit exams or standardized tests. Exceptions, if any are made on a case-by-case basis
  • Having the scores and grades above do not guarantee your admission into the university. It only qualifies you for admission consideration and not actually acceptance
  • JAMB scores, WAEC, NABTEB, NECO, IGCSE, etc scores as well as SS1, SS2 & SS3 transcripts assess an applicants’ general performance and are basic factors in the decision

Requirements/Documents for the 2016/2017 American University of Nigerian (AUN) Post-UTME Screening Exercise

Candidates are required to come to the venue of the Screening Exercise with the following documents:

  • JAMB Original Result Slip
  • A photocopy of ID Card, International Passport (picture page)
  • Four personal passport Photos
  • End of High/Secondary School External Exams Grades; WAEC, SSCE, IGCSE, NECO or the equivalent
  • A letter of recommendation / attestation from the high/secondary school attended
  • Copies of the applicants high / secondary school transcripts; SS1, SS2, and SS3
  • A personal statement (Essay) about why the applicant chose AUN and what his/her future ambitions are
  • Candidates applying are advised to scan and email all the documents mentioned above to admission@aun.edu.ng
  • Direct Entry (DE), Transfer Students from other institutions as well as International Applicants are required to contact admission@aun.edu.ng for current entry requirements
  • Note: The acceptance process does not continue until all needed documents are submitted as well as included in the file of the applicant
