BUHARI SIGNS BUDGET 2016 INTO LAW
The president of Nigeria, General Mohammadu Buhari has finally assented and signed the long awaited 2016 budget into law. At exactly 12:32pm today, president Buhari in his office at the Presidential Viila, Abuja signed the 2016 into law.

The 2016 Budget that was signed contains N2.6trn for recurrent expenditure, 1.5trn for capital expenditure, 1.4trn for debt service and N351bn for statutory transfers and others.


Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo and the chairmen of the National Assembly appropriation committees were at the ceremony when the main national document was signed.

The President during his speech concerning the implement of the Budget told Nigerians that he was aware of their cries and that he shared in their pains. He went further to tell them that he would not dissociate from them even though he lived in the State House.

He commended the sacrifice, resilience, toughness of Nigerians who had continued to hope and confide in the great future of Nigeria.

He further revealed that the journey would not be easy but assured Nigerians that the government of change they elected would work with honesty and dedication.
